What you will do:

The General Manager of Fleet Operations will Lead Fleet Divisions and all company fleet managers and employees and ensure consistency of the company’s fleet execution, profitability, and growth. General Manager of Operations will lead the overall company fleet assets including Dem-Con Dumpsters, Dem-Con Trucking and General Waste. General Manager of Fleet Operations will also work with the COO and other managers within the company to execute local market strategy that complements the overall strategic operating and growth plans.

Additionally, General Manager of Fleet Operations will implement initiatives to excel both financially and efficiently, as well as ensuring compliance with company standards and drive change management initiatives to introduce and sustain new processes that increase growth and durability of the company.

        • Direct management and P&L responsibility for the Dem-Con Dumpster fleet operations
        • Lead the division’s managers, supervisors and front line employees
        • Execute a focused division and fleet specific improvement plan that supports and enhance the company’s growth strategy
        • Lead the integration of new fleet related business acquisitions and/or organic growth opportunities
        • Oversee effective safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions are taken to prevent accidents and injuries and ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees
        • Manage to ensure efficiency between customer service and dispatch systems
        • Establish productivity goals where needed; ensure adherence to operating standards; and management of labor hours and disposal expenses
        • Assist in developing and growing existing and new fleet customer relationships
        • Responsible for cost effective operations and management of divisions expenditures
        • Analyze cost structures and aide in pricing strategies to maximize quality of revenue and growth goals
        • Enhance the company’s working capital by efficiently utilizing assets
        • Participate and manage divisions fleet purchasing and asset specifications
        • Manage and ensure execution in company fleet maintenance programs
        • Remain up to date on current and future fleet issues and communicate accordingly
        • Create an environment that promotes the company’s core values and motivates employees toward action that meets the company’s policies, goals and strategies
        • Ensure compliance with all government, regulatory and company requirements
        • Manage and ensure execution of division processes to include but not limited to DOT, equipment inventory, inventory repair and all other processes
        • Provide consistency in management between all locations

To qualify for this role you will have:

        • College degree in business, financial or other applicable focus area or
        • 10+ years in progressive leadership roles with multi team or divisional operations
        • Ability to develop and execute process and procedure across multiple groups
        • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
        • Analytical and Leadership of metrics and improvement projects
        • Process and procedure driven
